About these terms

LearningLens is provided by Velocity Advisory Limited (company number 17426729, registered office 41 Hillside Avenue, Wembley, HA9 8DY). These terms apply when you use our website and service. If you do not agree to them, do not use LearningLens.

Your school's agreement with us sits alongside these terms. If the two conflict, your school's agreement takes priority.

Your account

• Your account is for you alone. Do not share your password.
• On a shared device, sign out when you have finished. Entries are signed with your name.
• Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
• Your school decides who has an account. If it removes yours, for example when you leave, your access ends.

Using LearningLens

• Use it only for your school's educational purposes.
• Only record pupil information, photos or videos that your school allows you to record, and follow its data protection and safeguarding policies.
• Anything you export, download or print is covered by your school's data protection policies.
• LearningLens supports SEND provision. It does not replace your professional judgement, and it is not a way to report a safeguarding concern: use your school's procedures.
• Do not try to break, probe or overload the service, or to reach data that is not yours.

AI features

Some features use AI to suggest wording, such as improving a comment or drafting a unit plan. Check every suggestion before you save or rely on it. AI can be wrong, and you remain responsible for what you save or record. Our AI providers may hold this text temporarily, solely so that follow-up requests are processed faster, and never use it to train their models.

Your school's data

Your school controls the pupil and staff data it enters. We process it only on your school's instructions, to provide LearningLens, under our agreement with your school. Our privacy notice explains the data we use for our own purposes, such as product analytics.

Ownership

LearningLens, its design and its software belong to Velocity Advisory Limited. We claim no ownership of the content you and your school add.

Availability and changes

LearningLens is provided as it is. We do not promise it will always be available or free of errors, and we may change, suspend or withdraw features.

We may suspend or close an account straight away if it breaks these terms or puts the service or other people's data at risk. Your school's agreement sets out how either side can end the service.

Our responsibility

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit, and nothing in them affects your rights under data protection law.

Beyond that, our responsibility for the service is to your school, under its agreement with us.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, and we will tell your school before a significant change takes effect. The date above shows the latest version, and using LearningLens after a change means you accept it.

Law and contact

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction. Questions: privacy@getlearninglens.com.
